i was recently going through some old four track tapes and stumbled upon the master tapes for a cassette, "the portal" cassette, that i released back in 99. It contained mainly songs from late 98 and early 99. It was a really fun memory for me run into, so i decided to remix all the songs into my computer and try to clean up some of the hiss. What i ended up with is this collection of songs, it is not track for track what was on the cassette, but most songs are from that release. Some songs on the original cassette were way too embarrassing to include, and some songs i came across that i added in. 'hazy afternoon' i found in with the rest of the portal songs, but hadn't included it in the original release. 'disco evening' i found on an old tape from 97, it's just a snippet of some weird song. 'walk back home1997' as it suggests, is also from a 97 tape, definitely hissier than the others but wanted to include it. Anyhow, it's an audio snippet of what i was doing as a teenager living in brampton. good times!
